Merry Christmas from Jarcha Español!

Dear Community,

With the Christmas spirit in the air, we want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for a wonderful year at Jarcha Español. It has been a period full of learning, fun, and growth, and we are delighted to have shared so many experiences with all of you.

With the little ones, we have learned Spanish in a fun and dynamic way, through games and songs that have made learning a daily adventure.

With the older ones, we have not only played but also perfected our use of Spanish through our film discussion gatherings. In this space, we have analyzed and debated Spanish-speaking cinema masterpieces like La hija, La comunidad, La lengua de las mariposas, Madres paralelas, Perdiendo el norte, Ocho apellidos vascos and Pájaros. We have paid special attention to the lexicon of the different registers and varieties of Spanish.

We have also enjoyed a wide variety of readings for all levels and genres: poetry, narrative, and theater, exploring works by classic and contemporary authors from both Spain and Latin America.

Moreover, we have carried out individual and small group activities to boost our creativity and oral expression. From presentations and micro-theater to role-playing games and, of course, lots of conversation. In our classes, we learn by communicating, and any excuse is good to let go and practice.

Thank you all for being part of this incredible community. We hope you have a Christmas full of joy and a New Year filled with new opportunities to learn and grow together.
